Yo Ragers!

And welcome! This is a blog to accompany the podcast of the same name (available on Anchor, Spotify, iTunes and Pocketcasts etc.) We discuss the culture from the 1980s that either didn't make it through the filter of history or still lies low on the radar. You might think of the decade as one of big hair, leg warmers, pastel shade clothes or mirror tiled walls. We think of it as a time of musical innovation and guerilla filmmaking, subscriber radio and indie labels. While we begin with a focus on the music scene of the time we will branch out into cult cinema, literature (magical realism, anyone?) and culture from the margins. So, sit back, put a strawberry into that glass of bubbly or crack open a coola and feast!
